Founded in 1948, Salt Lake Community College is a multi-campus comprehensive community college located in Salt Lake City, Utah. It serves more than 60,000 credit and non-credit students per year in programs ranging from short-term intensive training to Associate’s degrees that transfer to four-year institutions.

Interesting Facts

  • SLCC has formed partnerships with local high schools and local businesses to provide internship opportunities to students still in high school. Local businesses provide internships for summer employment, mentoring opportunities, and funding for the student scholarships.
  • SLCC won the Utah Business 2011 Green Business award, which recognizes admirable environmental sustainability efforts in Utah. The college received the award for its leadership and teaching in the fields of energy management and green technologies that promote environmental sustainability.
